PVpallet Debuts Custom Reusable Pallet for Heliene at Midwest Solar Expo

We’ve been keeping a big secret.

For several months, PVpallet has been working diligently behind the scenes on a custom project for Heliene, one of North America’s fastest-growing domestic module manufacturers. "Can't wait to see this sustainable package unwrapped!" noted Michael Parr, Executive Director at The Ultra Low Carbon Solar Alliance, in anticipation of the event.

We finally made the big reveal at the Midwest Solar Expo in Chicago: a custom reusable pallet for Heliene’s 156HC M10 Bifacial module. This new pallet, expected to go to market later this year, was designed per Heliene’s specifications, enabling a smooth transition from a wood to a reusable pallet while providing customers with new benefits. Special features of this reusable, recyclable HDPE pallet include UV and weather resistance (a big plus for utility scale installations), notches at each fork pocket accommodate banding, and an edge lip to help locate modules and prevent sliding.

“We are so thankful for the Heliene team and their unwavering commitment to sustainability,” remarked Philip Schwarz, CEO and Cofounder of PVpallet. “Martin Pochtaruk and his team are the truth, and actually walk the walk when it comes to making the planet better.”

The landmark partnership was met with enthusiasm from industry professionals. "Congratulations to Heliene and PVpallet. What a great partnership and way to further decarbonize the Heliene solar supply chain!" said Deborah Graham-Clifford, Director, Global Development, Global Electronics Council.

The collaboration between PVpallet and Heliene grew out of a shared commitment to provide sustainable, domestic solutions to customers. Heliene’s desire to innovate within their supply chain has led to the creation of a reusable pallet designed specifically for their solar modules. This partnership sets Heliene apart as the first major manufacturer to integrate reusable pallets into their operations, underscoring their dedication to a greener future.

Many in the industry feel this partnership sets a new precedent for solar manufacturers. "I do believe other panel manufacturers will follow your lead,” commented Emilie Oxel O'Leary, CEO and Owner of Green Clean Solar, “One success story will turn into many!"

Together, we are building a greener future for us all.
