We’ve been keeping a big secret. For several months, PVpallet has been working diligently behind the scenes on a custom project for Heliene, one of North America’s fastest-growing domestic module manufacturers. We finally made the big reveal at the Midwest Solar Expo in Chicago.

2023 marked our first full year of selling product—and another incredible year for PVpallet. We grew our product line and service offerings to meet the dynamic needs of our growing industry, proved the sustainability of our pallet system through a life cycle assessment, and continued to build partnerships with global leaders in the industry who share our passion to green up solar. Here are our 2023 highlights.

Together, Heliene and PVpallet are creating a more efficient and sustainable supply chain for the domestic solar energy industry. Customers who purchase PVpallet Series X can request to have their Heliene solar PV modules placed on the reusable pallets as a part of the manufacturing process, eliminating the waste and cost often created by traditional wood pallets downstream.

With PVpallet Series X.L, solar project developers, installers, and manufacturers can now benefit from a packaging solution that offers unparalleled protection, ease of transportation, and cost savings for large-scale solar projects.

2022 was an incredible year for PVpallet as we aggressively pursued our mission to eliminate waste streams through innovative, reusable packaging solutions.

PVpallet's new line of innovative, reusable packaging solutions help promote a circular economy in the solar shipping and packaging industry while reducing product damage. New products include bulk bins and handheld totes, ideal for batteries, inverters, kitting, and more.

Greentech Renewables Midwest needed an innovative solution that would provide a premium level of service and demonstrate their unwavering commitment to customer care and relationships. To that end, they resourced PVpallet Series X in July 2022 with the goal of reducing breakage rates, installation delays, and resulting costs that occur when solar PV modules are shipped on traditional wood pallets.

Schaefer Plastics North America announced today the exclusive distribution sales agreement with PVpallet, Inc. This strategic agreement extends market reach for both companies with Schaefer distributing PVpallet Series X to both automotive and manufacturing market sectors and PVpallet distributing the Schaefer product line within the renewable energy industry.

BayWa r.e., a leading renewable energy developer, services and systems provider globally and in the Americas, announced today it has partnered with PVpallet to distribute its reusable solar module shipping solution. The PVpallet Series X is now available through BayWa r.e. Solar Systems LLC, providing a tool for installers to improve material transport and installation logistics, as well as make their businesses more sustainable.

The Series X PVpallet, named for its eXpandable design, adjusts to fit a variety of PV module sizes. Its sturdy sidewalls and steel-reinforced base protect fragile solar modules in transit and slider handles assist with partial load management. Series X PVpallets have undergone rigorous third-party vibration and compression testing, which verified their exceptional performance in real-world use cases.

Our team had a blast introducing PVpallet to the solar industry at Intersolar North America in Long Beach, CA on January 13-15. Our booth saw constant traffic throughout the show. The most common reaction when people saw PVpallet was, “Finally!”

In 2021, PVpallet went from conceptual ideas to a physical product we could test with key industry stakeholders—with a lot of other milestones in between. But we aren't done. We are gearing up for an even bigger 2022.

After nearly two years of product development, PVpallet will unveil their unique solution to shipping solar PV modules in a live virtual demo. “We designed this solution based on the issues we saw firsthand,” explains Co-founder Philip Schwarz.

The first recyclable, reusable, adjustable, and collapsible pallet system designed specifically for shipping and protecting solar PV modules is ready for testing with key clients. Full production is set for Q1 2022.
